Regular Season Round 24: Aalst - Mechelen 65-79

One of the most interesting games of round 24 was a derby match between two teams from Belgium. Third rankedKangoeroes won against host Okapi Aalst (13-10) 79-65 . The winners were led by American forward Aundre Hyatt (198-2000, college: Rutgers) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Trenton Gibson (193-2000, college: Indiana St.) supported him with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Kangoeroes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 17 points and 5 assists by point guard Niels Van Den Eynde (179-2000) did not help to save the game for Aalst . Bosnian forward Lazar Mutic (204-1999) added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Mechelen maintains third position with 17-6 record having just three points less than leader Oostende. Aalst at the other side dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost.
